Charles R Thompson, 85 years, of Hillsboro passed away in his home on Monday February 20, 2017.
He was born in Springfield OH on March 15, 1931 the son of the late Leroy and Alta (Crabtree) Thompson. Besides his parents he was preceded by his wife Sylvia Thompson who passed on November 22, 1995, as well as two brothers, Glenn and David Thompson, and one sister Emmy Lou Miller
Charles was a US Air Force veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his sister-in-law Jane Thompson of Springfield; seven nephews Gary Lee Thompson of Springfield, William Miller of Sahurarita, AZ, Dane Miller, David Miller of Cincinnati, Bruce Miller of Cincinnati, Tommy Thompson of Lousiville, KY, Timothy Thompson of Springfield; and one niece Pamela Thompson of Fayetteville, NC.
As per his wishes Charles is to be cremated. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 18, 2017 at the Arlington Cemetery, 9150 National Rd, Brockville, OH 45309.
Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
