Charles E. Tong

Charles E. Tong, 61 years of Pike County, went to be with the Lord on Monday January 28, 2013 after a short battle with cancer at Christ Hospital.
He was born on June 22, 1951 in Pike County, Ohio; he is the son of the late Truman Tong. Besides his dad, he was preceded in death by his half-brother, Walter West.
He worked in Pike County at various saw mills, but was best known in the community for digging graves and was a member at Mont Zion Church. He was loved among the community and all that knew him.
He is survived by his mother Dorothy West Tong of Pike County, two brothers, Harold Tong and David Tong, seven sisters, Mary Matt Doyle , Ruth Jerry Hurley , Donna Bobby Thompson, Edith Marks, Geraldine Crouch , Betty Jim Barker , and Kay Schimet, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be 12:00PM on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring. Burial will be at East Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.
