Charley Purtee

Charley Purtee, 78 years of Peebles, died Friday, February 4, 2005 at his residence.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on July 30, 1926 the son of Rodney and Marjorie Wilson Purtee.
He was a member of the Beech Fork Christian Baptist Church.
He worked as a Technician for General Electric and was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Bill Purtee.
He is survived by his wife Jean Parker Purtee, whom he married on April 23, 1951, two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Rita Purtee of Peebles, Sam and Diana Purtee of West Union, one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and D. McFann of Georgtown, one brother Willie Purtee of Mt. Sterling, OH, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, one step grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home with Debbie and Mark Baer and Tommy Brown officiating. Burial will follow with military graveside services by the Adams County Honor Guard in the Cedar Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
