Charles G. Dodds, 84 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born in Highland County on April 6, 1919 the son of Edward and Mary Simbro Dodds
He was a partner in D&L Service Station in Hillsboro and owned and operated Charlie?s Carry Out in Hillsboro for several years and was a Army Veteran serving in WWII.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ernestine Louise Cooper Dodds on August 19, 1988 one brother Donald Dodds and one sister Doris Dodds.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jim Siders of Wilmington, Dianna and Mose Workman of Hillsboro, two grandchildren,
Candace Siders of Wilmington, Caleb Siders of Wilmington, two great grandchildren, Madison Siders and Ashlee Griffith.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Twin Township Cemetery at Bourneville with Military Graveside rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
