Charlotte Darr Brown passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born September 19, 1929 in Glendale, OH. to Talmadge and Grace (Palmer) Darr. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father Daniel P. Roads; brother and sister-in-law Gilbert and Juanita Darr.
She was a graduate of Martinsville High School in 1947. She retired from the Ohio Military Credit Union in Columbus, OH., later opened and managed the Cato Store in Wilmington until 1991 and worked at Micro Warehouse. She was a former member of the Business and Professional Women and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Wilmington. She was a member of the New Vienna Chapter #327 O.E.S. for almost 70 years. She loved music and began singing at the age of 5 at different churches, events and weddings until her later years. She was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church. She was a very loving person who was deeply loved by all of her family and her many many friends. She was a beautiful special person. She will be missed.
She is survived by her husband Raymond, a son and daughter-in-law Danny and Sandy Mongold of Wilmington, OH., two step-sons and step-daughter-in-law Michael and Monica Brown of Hillsboro, Timothy Brown of Milford, OH., daughter Timi Lee Brown of Hillsboro; sister Dolores Sandy of Cynthiana, KY., niece Gail (John) Pope of Cincinnati, two nephews Gary Sandy of KY., Keith Sandy of AZ., 5 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church, 8080 State Route 124, Hillsboro where friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.. Dr. Dan Lamb will officiate with burial to follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
