Chester Forsythe

July 30, 1917 — September 26, 2008

Chester Forsythe, 91 years of Winchester, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe.

He was born in Winchester, Ohio on July 30, 1917 the son of the late Charlie and Inez Shepherd Forsythe.

Chester was a member of the Wesley Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union, an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the D.A.V. Winchester American Legion, a member of the Rural Letter Carrier Association, and a graduate of Winchester High School class of 1935.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Elsi Forsythe.

He is survived by his wife Ida Swearingen Forsythe of Winchester, son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Carolyn Forsythe of Amelia, Ohio, and daughter and son-in-law Roberta and Michael Newman of Winchester.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wesley Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rick Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Tree Ridge Cemetery, with military graveside services by the Adams County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
