Chris Hawes, 33 years of Peebles, died Saturday, May 1, 2004.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on July 10, 1970 the son of Larry and Myrtle Conley Hawes.
He was a 1988 graduate of Peebles High School. He was a member of the Ohio Laborers Union Local #83 of Portsmouth, and worked for Safeway Construction.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Leandra Hawes.
Beside his parents he is survived by his wife Kimberly Utterback Hawes, who he married on October 8, 1994, two sons, Tyler Hawes of Hillsboro, Wade Hawes of Peebles, one daughter, Kaylee Hawes of Peebles, two step sons, Dustin and Craig McGlothin of Peebles, three brothers, Teddy Hawes of Bluecreek, Larry Hawes, Jr. of Otway, Rusty Hawes of Bluecreek, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Kelly McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. till service time at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
