of Eckmansville, Ohio. She was born on June 5, 1928 in West Liberty, Kentucky, to Buford and Stella Vance and died on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley, Ohio at the age of 85 years, 6 months, and 19 days.
Preceded in death are her husband of sixty-four years: Lee Mitchell Evans; her parents: Buford and Stella Vance, brothers: Grover, Delmar, J.C., Charles, Delphis, Drexel, and her sister Murlene.
Christine leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Gary Wayne and Sue Evans of Seaman, Ohio; a son, Donnison Leon Evans of Cherry Fork, Ohio; and a daughter and son-in-law, Katondria Mae and James Danley of Rockwood, Michigan; four brothers: Vernon and Eugene of West Liberty, Kentucky, Glennis of Zepherhills, Florida, and Ronnie of Georgetown, Ohio; and a sister: Connie May of Hillsboro, Ohio and 9 grandchildren: Rhonda Fannin of Hillsboro, Gary Lee of Leesburg, Daniel of Peebles, Donny of Cherry Fork, Derek of Lynx, Rebekah Drury of Leesburg, David of Fishers, Indiana, Shawna Faul of Sardinia, and Jamie Danley of Michigan; 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Karen Ketterson of Winchester, Ohio.
She was laid to rest in a private graveyard ceremony on December 26, 2013 at the Evans' Cemetery on the family farm.
Memorial Services will be held on January 5, 2014 at Lewis Sullivan Chapel in Seaman, Ohio at 11:00 a.m. The Officiating Elder will be Mr. John McClain of the United of God, IA; Milford, Ohio.
