Cindy S. Eigel, 69 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Friday June 18, 2021. She was born in Conneaut, OH on April 7, 1952, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Burns.
Cindy was a dedicated member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. For over 30 years she actively served the music department at the church by playing the organ, directing bell choirs, leading children's programs and more. Cindy had a Master's Degree in Music with French Horn as her primary instrument. She taught general music for Hillsboro City Schools and shared her love of music with generations of children throughout the community. Cindy had a heart for adventure. She loved the water, walking her dog, Bella and exploring the world with her husband and daughters.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Richard Eigel, daughters Christine (Matthew) Martin and Laura Eigel, both of Baltimore, MD, grandson Emory Martin, brothers Jim (Cheryl) Burns of Bellevue, OH and Mike Burns of Conneaut, OH and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to music department at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM Friday June 25, 2021 at the Hillsboro 1st United Methodist Church.
Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday June 24, 2021 at the church.
