Clara C. Garen, 95 of Hillsboro Carmel Community died Wednesday May 25, 2001 at Hearland of Hillsboro.
She was born on March 5, 1916 at Cynthiana, Kentucky the daughter of Samuel Thomas and Elizabeth AnnGarrison Wagoner.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Richard Garen on August 31, 1998, one son James Robert Bob" Garen on May 22, 2011, six brothers, twin brother, Clarence, Randolph, Melvin "Joe Bill" , Cecil, Wallace, Howard Dennis "Den", five sisters, Zillah, Gertrude, Effie, Shirley, Elizabeth Ann.
She was a member of the Rainsboro Church of Christ in Christian Union.
On August 20th 1936 she was united in marriage to Richard Garen to this union was born two sons James Robert and Jack Allen Garen to whom she was greatly devoted. On June 20th 1949 she gave her life to Christ and became a member of the one great church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Jack and Carolyn Garen of Hillsboro one daughter-in-law Carolyn Garen of Hillsboro, four grandchildren, Dale, Michael, David, and Jeff, seven great grandchildren, Roger, Katie, Heather, Kelly, Jessica, Colton and Jenna, one brother, Jake Wagoner.
Kind and good in all her ways, honest and just to the end of her days, sincere and true in her heart and mind, sweet are the memories she leaves behing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday May 30, 2011 at the Thompson Funeral home . Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery
Friends may call on Monday from 1:00 PM till time of services at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
