Clarence Everett Johnson, 79 years of Peebles, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman.
He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on November 17, 1928 the son of the late Charles M. and Amy Vangundy Johnson.
He was a US Army Veteran. He retired from the Asplundh Tree Company and drove semi trucks.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Touhy and Lucille Self, and one brother, Milton Johnson.
He was united in marriage on September 23, 1950 to Reva Borah Johnson, who survives. He is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Linda Johnson of Mesa, Arizona, Danny and Edna Johnson of Louden, Ohio, Chris and Becky Johnson of Peebles, one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jim Meade of Locust Grove, three brothers, Robert Johnson of Florida, Orsen Johnson of Georgia, Walter Johnson of Chillicothe, two sisters, Fary Whitehour of Chillicothe, Marcella Weese of Chillicothe, sixteen grandchildren, and thirty great grandchildren.
According to Mr. Johnson's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services observed.
Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements.
