Claudette I. Golden, 80 years of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023.
Claudette was born October 4, 1942 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of the late Claude E. and Thelma I. (Durling) Kaysen. Beside her parents, Claudette was preceded in death by her husband, Kennith I. Golden on October 14, 2022; two daughters, Cheri Lee Jones and Jeanne Marie Brooks; son-in-law, William "Billy" Shaffer; brother, Barney Kaysen.
Claudette was a member of the Southside Praise and Worship Center in Hillsboro; ran the food ministry at the church and the Ohio Mission Bible Training Center; member of the National Songwriter's Association. Claudette worked in the cafeteria at the Little Miami Schools for several years.
Claudette is survived by daughter, Cindy Marie Shaffer of Hillsboro; two sons, Robert Wesley Roak of Dahlonega, GA. and Gerald Roak of West Chester, OH.; 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; three brothers, Mike (Cathy) Kaysen, Herb (Carol) Kaysen, Claude Kaysen of Chicago, IL.; sister, Sharon Kehoe of Chicago, IL.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Services to be held at the convenience of the family. Pastor Mike Brown to officiate with burial in the Edwardsville Cemetery.
