Clinton M Hammons

Clinton M. Hammons, 87 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday January 1, 2022.
He was born in Renick, WV on June 30, 1934, the son of the late Sturgis and Grata (Faulkner) Hammons. Besides his parents, he is also preceded by his wife, Margaret Ruth (Faux) Hammons on March 17, 2009, daughter, Ruth Gonzalez and brother, Ronald Hammons.
Clinton retired from the United States Air Force, after 24 years of service, was a Master Sargent and retired from the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Clinton is survived by his sons, James Hammons of Hillsboro, William Hammons of New Jersey and Alvin Hammons of Van Wert, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday January 6, 2022, at the Thompson Funeral Home. The Highland County Honor Guard will be preforming military rites.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of services on Thursday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Burial will be at a later date at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA.
