Cora E. Mccalla

Cora E. McCalla, 89 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at her residence.
She was born in Lynchburg, Ohio on May 7, 1917 the daughter of the late George W. and Rebecca E. Newman Edwards.
She was a graduate of South Salem High School in 1936. She was a member of the Belfast United Methodist Church, the U.M.W., the Jackson Township Farm Bureau Council, and the Highland County Senior Citizens. She retired in 1985 from the Belfast School System.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Russell McCalla, who passed away on March 9, 1986, five brothers, and seven sisters.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Judy McCalla of Washington Court House, David and Donna McCalla of Hillsboro, daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Ervin West of Hillsboro, Linda and Steve Eikenberry of Kettering, Ohio, Janice McCalla of Hillsboro, brother, James E. Edwards of Riverside, Ohio, fourteen grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Kraig Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Charity of Choice.
