Curtis Sears, 86 years of Peebles, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown.
He was born in Mt. Victory, Kentucky on February 3, 1927 the son of the late Sill and Mrytle Garrison Sears.
Curtis attended Peebles United Methodist Church. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the Peebles American Legion, and a member of the D.A.V.
He is survived by his wife; Patricia Newman Sears of Peebles, whom he married on April 16, 2004, three sons and daughters-in-law; Gary and Pauletta Sears of Blanchester, Gordon and Nancy Sears of Cincinnati, and Barry and Patricia Sears of Madosto, California, one daughter and son-in-law; Tammy and Randy Rankin of New Vienna, two sisters; Gertrude Thompson and Geneva Black, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, three step children; Barbara Graham of South Carolina, Nancy Couser of Sinking Spring, and David Wallace of South Carolina, and 2 step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Peebles United Methodist Church with Steve Zinser officiating. Burial will follow in West Union I.O.O.F. Cemetery with a military graveside service.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at Peebles United Methodist Church.
