Dale Lee Meranda

Dale Lee Meranda, 76 years of Seaman, died Monday, December 29, 2008 at Adams County Manor.

He was born in Liberty Township near West Union, Ohio on October 17, 1932 the son of the late Earl Warren and Lucy Audrey Robe Meranda.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Steve, two brothers, Earnest and Earl Junior, one sister, Caryl Young, and one grandson, Ryan.

Dale attended the Liberty Elementary School and graduated from West Union High School in the class of 1950. He was employed by the LeBlond Machine Tool Company for thirty five years.

He is survived by his wife Jo Meranda, step son Doug Phyllis Van Winkle of El Dorodo Hills, California, step daughter Saundra Nick Dudukovic of Cincinnati, three brothers and sisters-in-law Keith and Sue of Greenbush, Michigan, Donny and Julia of West Union, and Jerry and Judy of Batavia, one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Jim Young of Seaman, one daughter-in-law, Mary Jo of Cincinnati, one brother-in-law, Bob Young of Peebles, sister-in-law, Peggy Meranda of Cincinnati, two granddaughters, three great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, aunt Ruth Meranda of Hillsboro, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman. Burial will follow in Kirker Cemetery.

Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.

Memorials may be made to Seaman Presbyterian Church, Hospice of Hope, and Seaman Lions Club.
