Dale Pence, 73 years of Winchester Township, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on November 17, 1934 the son of the late Denman and Grace Wright Pence.
He was a bus driver for Adams County Ohio Valley Schools for thirty years, a member on the Farmers Mutual Insurance board for over forty years, a trustee of Winchester Township for twenty four years, and also served on numerous other boards and committees.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his step-daughter Debra Foster.
He is survived by his wife Anna Mary Ruggles Pence of Winchester Township, son Dennis Pence of Winchester Township, daughter Dala Mahaffey of Boise, Idaho, step-daughters Teresa Chaney of Winchester and Mary Beth and Terry Louderback of Peebles, grandchildren Jennifer Swayne, Derrick Pence, Emilee Chaney, Stefanie Chaney, and Daniel Chaney, two great grandsons, and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
