Dale T. Puckett, 81 years of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the VA Medical Center at Chillicothe.

He was born in Pike County, Ohio on September, 27, 1923 the son of the late George B. and Dollie F. Ingles Puckett.

He was a member of the Carmel Methodist Church, life time member of the DAV, he retired April 19, 1977 after twenty five years of service with the Randall Company of Wilmington, and was an Army Veteran serving with the Infantry in WWII.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers Donald Puckett, Carl Puckett, Beryl Puckett, Cecil Puckett, four sisters, Dora Dunn, Velma Blakeman, Hazel Puckett and Dorothy Vance.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Lightner Puckett of Hillsboro, two step sons and daughter-in-law, Donald L. and Marianna Rhoads of Hillsboro, Lloyd Rhoads of Hillsboro,

three brothers, Roy Puckett of Chillicothe, George B. ?Pete? Puckett of Peebles, Harry ?Jack? Puckett of Hillsboro, one sister Jean Knauff of Hillsboro, four grandchildren, Donnie KathyRhoads, Ronnie Theresa Rhoads, Lucille Vic Allen, David Niki Rhoads, eleven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Wiley Perkin officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 noon till time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
