Dan W. Thomas, 81 years of Peebles, died Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on September 18, 1924 the son of the late Herbert and Mabel Crawford Thomas.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was an aircraft technician for General Electric. He was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Maude Hornback.
He was united in marriage on February 27, 1942 to Anna Tolle Thomas, who survives. He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Marian Thomas of Mesa, Arizona, three daughters and sons-in-law, Danna and Jerry Holbrook of West Union, Holly and Danny Stringer of Goshen, Michelle and Wayne Norman of Hamptonville, North Carolina, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 7, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Jerry Holbrook and Travis Smalley officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
