Daniel Ray Stevens, 83 years of Ruston, Louisiana passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Northern Louisiana Medical Center.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 25, 1928 the son of the late Frank and Kathryn Swearingen Stevens.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Williams, who passed away on June 7, 1999.
Daniel was a member of the Masonic Lodge 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.
He is survived by his second wife, Thelma Stevens of Louisiana, four sons and daughters-in-law; Chuck and Cheri Stevens of Florida, Tim and Mary Stevens of Pennsylvania, Gary Brewer of Georgia, and Bill Brewer of Georgia, four daughters and son-in-law; Kathy and Rick Starkey of Gallipolis, Ohio Brenda Beavers of Dayton, Fran Hoffman of Blanchester, and Joyce Perez of Blanchester, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Chuck Tabor officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. with a Masonic Service at 12:00 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
