Darrell Wills, age 70 of Winchester, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
He was born in Dover, Kentucky on October 18, 1942 the son of the late Harvey and Anna Margaret Padgett Wills.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Wills and one nephew, Mark Doss.
Darrell attended Winchester United Methodist Church; he was a US army veteran of the Vietnam Era retiring in 1984 and a member of the Winchester American Legion Post #242.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Tumbleson Wills of Winchester; one son, Patrick Wills of Winchester; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John Wills of Florida, Carey and Sandy Wills of Hillsboro, and Wendell and Janie Wills of Sardinia; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara Jane and Charles Blythe of Manchester, Charlotte and Bob Landers of Mowrystown, Ohio, and Gracie and Duke Doss of Sardinia; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Winchester United Methodist Church with Rodney Tumbleson and Pastor Greg Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery with a military graveside service given by the US Army Funeral Detail and the Adams County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the church.
