David Askren, age 64 of Winchester, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Winchester, Ohio on June 13, 1949 the son of the late Richard and Celesta Wilson Askren.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his infant sister, Naomi Askren and father-in-law, Leo Parker.
David attended Bethlehem Church of Christ and was a member of F&AM Winchester Lodge #238.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Parker Askren of Winchester who he married on October 7, 1967; one son, Scott Askren and Pam Williams of Hillsboro; two daughters, Amy John Palmer of Leesburg and Becky Terry Bouquot of Waynesville, Ohio; two brothers, Charles Askren of Lynchburg and Lary Askren of Ryland Heights, Kentucky; 7 sisters, Leona Inskeep, Frances Fannin, Wilma Breeze all of Winchester, Mary Nell Horn of Dayton, Beverly Butler of Byron, IL, Bonnie Harover of West Union, and Cheri Ayers of West Carrollton; 7 grandchildren, Autumn and Austin Palmer, Samantha Askren, Mariah Gardner, Zachre Askren, and Maggie and Max Bouquot; mother-in-law Audrey Parker and brother-in-law, Terry Parker of Decatur; 33 nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Bethlehem Church of Christ with Tom Claibourne officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the church.
