David A. Brookover, 68 years of Peebles, died Wednesday, December 8, 2004 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
He was born in Manchester, Ohio on November 7, 1936 the son of the late Charles and Marguerite Wilson Brookover.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a river barge Captain for over thirty years. He was a member of the Richard L. Dryden Manchester V.F.W Post #8287.
He is survived by his wife, Louise McClanahan Brookover, who he married on September 17, 1957, two daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Randy Bracken of Peebles, Evelyn and Robin Wynne of Peebles, brothers, Harlon Brookover of Manchester, Bill Brookover of Cincinnati, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Sharon McClanahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
