David Wilson Collins, 76 years of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
David was born December 5, 1944 in Marietta, OH., the son of the late Kenneth and Martha (Schieber) Collins.
After graduating from High School, David attended William Jefferson College and graduated from Marietta College. While attending Marietta College, David played baseball for the College. After graduation, David went to work for Woolsworth's Five and Dimes Store in Baltimore, Maryland. When Woolsworth closed, David went to work for Inland Construction in Baltimore and later transferred to Raleigh, N.C. David loved building, construction and yard work. David enjoyed making pies for his friends.
David is survived by his wife, Barbara Lynn (Myers) Collins; two step sons, Johnny Howard of Bethel, OH. and Jeff Howard of Carlisle, KY.; five grandchildren, Heather Renee, Ashton Nicole, Joshua Thomas of Carlisle, KY. and Joseph Levi of Midland, OH,, Sabrina Noel of Bethel, OH.; one sister, Betty Boeshko of Florida; niece, Lisa Slane of Louisville, OH., niece, Beth Ann Parks of Phoenix, Arizona.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in the spring.
