David Lee Matheny, 54 years of Dayton, died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at his residence.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 13, 1948 the son of Jesse and Edna Hall Matheny.
He was an Army veteran of the Viet Nam Era. He was a member of the Chambersberg Road Church of God and the I.U.E. Union Local #801.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Matheny, and brothers, Phillip and Eric Matheny.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Myers Matheny, who he married on March 17, 1973, father Jesse Matheny of Eaton, sons, Ben Matheny of Datyon, Jonathan Matheny of Dayton, daughters, Joanna Matheny of Dayton, Allison Matheny of Dayton, sister, LaVerne Tompkins of Eaton, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Doug Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
