David Earl Newman, 54 years of Seaman, died Thursday, September 11, 2003 at his residence.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on July 17, 1949 the son of Raymond and Lois Smittle Newman.
He was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ and the Seaman American Legion Charles H. Eyre Post #633. He was a veteran of the Army Reserve and was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Young Newman of Seaman, his parents, Raymond and Lois Newman of Seaman, mother-in-law, Phyllis Young of West Union, daughter, Sarah Lynn Newman of Seaman, brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Kim Newman of Tranquility, John and Angelena Newman of Seaman, sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce McDowell of Columbus, Carol and Steve Thatcher of Seaman, Beth and Tim Rowley of Seaman, Amy and Robbie Gabbert of West Union, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Connie and Ronnie Bradford of West Union, Debbie and Larry Newman of West Union, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ with Jim Chandler and Bill Christman officiating. Burial will follow in the Tranquility Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ.
Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman is in charge of arrangements.
