David R. "Rusty" Hooley Sr., 54 years of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Rusty was born December 14, 1968 in Hillsboro, the son of the late Russell L. Hooley and Margaret L. (Blake) Hooley of Hillsboro.
Rusty was a 1987 graduate of Whiteoak High School. Loved playing baseball and an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan. He was a member of the Hillsboro F.O.E. Aerie 1161 and an Auxillary member of the VFW Post 9094 in Hillsboro. Rusty was a handyman and did maintenance work all his life.
Beside his mother, Rusty is survived by one son, David R. Hooley of Hillsboro; two daughters, Briana (Bradley Reffitt) Hooley of Greenfield and Lorinda (Brandon) Kuhn of Hillsboro; 8 grandchildren, David III, Russell Lee, Guyle, Fwaylan, Errowmyss, Dartanyen, Austyn, Christopher; brother, Roger Hooley of Hillsboro; sister Rebecca Hooley of Sardinia, dearest friend, Tracy (Mick) Hooley of Hillsboro; aunts, uncles, nieces, nehews, cousins and a host of friends.
Eagle Service and VFW Auxillary Service will be held 5:00 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Friends may call Friday from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
