David L. Ward, 57 years of Peebles, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Madison, W. Va. on Oct. 29, 1951 the son of Lorinza and Mazella Elkins Ward.
He was preceded in death by his Father Lorinza Ward and one son Terry Loren Ward.
Mr. Ward was the Owner Operator of W.W. Trucking in Peebles, a Lifetime Member of the NRA and a Lifetime Member of the North American Hunting Club.
He is survived by his mother Mazella Ward of Hillsboro, his wife whom he married August 31, 1991, Teresa Ward of Peebles, one son and daughter in-law, David and Kathy Ward Jr. of Peebles, father and mother in-law; Eldon and Shirley Shoenleben of Peebles, one grandchild Austin Ward, two step grandchildren; Wendy Porter and Kelly Holleran, five brothers and sisters-in-law; Philip and Robin Ward of Loveland, Tony and Joann Ward of Mowrystown, John Ward of Hillsboro, Timmy and Barb Ward of Hillsboro, John R. Ward of Hillsboro, four sister and brothers in-law, Alice and Kenny Arrant of Lynchburg, Marylyn and Issac Powell of Toledo, Katherin and Randy Taylor of Mason and Tena Agnew of Washington C.H., and a very special caregiver, Melissa Dalton.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Jason Coriell and Woody Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow in Westwood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 11:00 till 3:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
