David Worley, 61 years of Peebles, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at his residence.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 4, 1947 the son of the late George and Julia Madru Worley.
David was a longtime member of St. Mary Queen of Heaven in Peebles, a chairman of the Adams County Democratic Party, a retired teacher of Adams County, and a Boy Scout leader.
He is survived by his wife Linda Lloyd Worley of Peebles, son Paul Worley of Fort Knox, Kentucky, daughter Lauren Worley of Columbus, sister Jan Worley of Cincinnati, mother-in-law Doris Markins of Peebles, sister-in-law Carma Crothers of Peebles, brothers-in-law Richard, Terry, and Pat Lloyd all of Peebles, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Peebles with Father Ted Kosse and Father Fid Levri officiating. Burial will follow in Jacktown Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
Memorials may be made to the Peebles Magazine Club.
