Davy Richard "Boke" Jordan, 80 years of West Union, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Clermont Mercy Hospital at Batavia, OH.
He was born March 30, 1931 at Greenfield, OH., the son the late Joseph H. and Faye E. Litteral Jordan. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Lee Jordan, one daughter, Gail Roberts, one brother, Robert Jordan, two sisters, Mary Tong and Helen Jordan.
Boke owned and operated a trucking company, a timber man all his lifetime having bought and sold timber all over the Eastern United States. He had a love for NASCAR. He managed the Brown County Speedway and Southern Ohio Raceway for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Osa Mae Silcox Jordan; five sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Cathy Jordan of Chillicothe, OH., Joseph and Lana Jordan of Sinking Spring, OH., William and Diane Schneider Jordan of Sinking Spring, OH., James and Verna Jordan of Hillsboro, OH., Davy R. and Sandra Jordan of Peebles, OH.; six daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Jerry Crouch of Hillsboro, OH., Diana and Kenny Myers of Mowrystown, OH., Marianna and Tom Rowley Heifner of Hillsboro, OH., Donna and Marc Lewis of Hillsboro, OH., Kathy and Doug Miller of Hillsboro, OH., Pamela Sue and Eric Jones of West Union, OH.; 30 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen Burnett of Hillsboro, OH., one brother, Bill Jordan of Bainbridge, OH.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring, OH.
Dan Swank will officiate with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
