Delores C. Matheny, 67 years of Peebles, died Monday, July 4, 2005 at the Adams County Hospital ER.
She was born at Peebles, Ohio on October 4, 1937 the daughter of Oscar and Lina Cadwallader Monroe.
She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church where she served as Church Treasurer.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by on son Ricky, six brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her husband Leo Matheny whom she married on October 14, 1963 two daughters and son-in-law, Karen Williams of Peebles, Sharon and Donnie Swayne of Peebles, three brothers, Junior Monroe of Peebles, Kenneth Monroe of Peebles, Ralph Monroe of Urbana, two sisters, Bessie Cohn of Urbana, Vivian Turner of St. Paris, Ohio, four grandchildren, Jason, Chelsea, Travis and Alexa.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Antioch Baptist Church under the direction of the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
