Denver Maddy, Jr., age 80 of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Rarden, Ohio on January 14, 1934 the son of the late Denver and Grace Hoffer Maddy, Sr.
Denver was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Arshall and Tabitha Maddy of Hillsboro; two brothers, Floyd Maddy of Piketon and Bob Maddy of Celina, Ohio; five sisters, Darlene Miller of Rarden, Thelma Rose of Hillsboro, Helen Maddy of Peebles, Judy Maddy of Peebles, and Erma Jean Rose of Rarden; and one granddaughter, Tonya Brewer.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Monty White officiating, Military Rites will be given by the Scioto County Honor Guard. Burial will follow in New Hoffer Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
