Dessie Marie Rackley-Beamon

Dessie Rackley-Beamon, 95 years of Hillsboro, formerly of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on Wednesday May 4, 2016 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born in Lucama, NC on March 6, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jane (Barnes) Rackley, besides her parents she was also preceded by her husband, A. Earl Beamon on January 2, 1991 and six sisters, Lou Ezzell, Estelle Holland, Elva Parrish, Alva Johnson, Grace Johnson and Sallie Moore.
Dessie is survived by her daughter, Dessie "Cookie"(Roy) Bolin of Belfast, son, Chris Beamon of Baltimore, MD and two grandchildren, Robert (Peggy) Bolin and Edward (Patricia) Bolin.
Friend may call at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday May 6, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, the visitation will conclude with an ending prayer at 6:00 PM.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM Monday May 9, 2016 at the Rosewood Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, VA. Friends may call at 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM on Monday at the Hollomon-Brown Bayside Chapel at 1457 Independence Blvd. Virginia Beach, VA 23455
