Don Myers, 67 years of Peebles, died Thursday, January 16, 2003 at his residence.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on December 30, 1935 the son of the late Noble and Ethel Goodwin Myers.
He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the IBEW Local #575.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Myers, and one sister, Carolyn Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hilterbran Myers, who he married on November 2, 1957, one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Mary Myers of Peebles, one daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Mark Shoemaker of Peebles, three brothers, Bob Myers of Laura, Ohio, Russ Myers of Peebles, Jerry Myers of Fawcett, eight sisters, Juanita Murphin of Piketon, Joyce Myers of Hillsboro, Janet Berry of Columbus, Connie Jamison of Peebles, Sharon Short of Louisiana, Bonnie Cline of Peebles, Martha Crothers of Peebles, Margaret Sowinski of Peebles, three grandchildren, Sarah Myers, Amy Myers, Kyle Shoemaker, and special niece, Carisa Kremins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
