Donald Alexander, 78 years of Sardinia, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on November 28, 1932 the son of the late Isaac Floyd and Hattie Mae Kinnett Alexander.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sons; Donald Alexander, Jr. and Rick Alexander and three brothers; Lawrence, Clarence, and Johnny Alexander.
Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife Naomi Christman Alexander of Sardinia, one son and daughter-in-law; Randy and Kelley Alexander of Greenfield, Ohio, two daughters and sons-in-law; Donna and Lloyd DeHart of Mt. Orab and Debbie and Robby Russell of Perry, Georgia, one sister and brother-in-law; Wanda and Bob Short of Sardinia, one sister-in-law; Barb Alexander of Seaman, ten grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester with Pastor Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Winchester Cemetery with a Military Graveside Service given by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. till 12:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester.
