Donald M. Blythe, 62 years of Peebles, died Thursday, November 22, 2001 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on July 9, 1939 the son of the late Nathaniel and Anna Snider Blythe.
He was a member of the Peebles Masonic Lodge #581 and the Adams County Pilot Association. He was a Kentucky Colonel. He was the Executive Director for the U.S.D.A.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Adams Blythe, who passed away on March 13, 2001.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Anita Blythe of Peebles, foster son and wife, Bill and Marie Brown of Denver, daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Joe Beasley of Peebles, brother, Russell Blythe of Seaman, sisters, Doris Markins of Peebles, Dorothy Cox of Peebles, Carol Bishop of Toledo, former wife, Rosalie VonBergen of Sabina, six grandchildren, and two foster grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Tranquility Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
