Donald R. DeBoer, 67 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at the Bethesda North Hospital.
He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on June 2, 1947, the son of the late Donald A. DeBoer and Linnie (Dean) Beaudrow. Besides his parents he was also preceded by his wife, Sharon DeBoer on February 10, 2011, three step-brothers, Harley Carter, Archie Young and Alvin Young and a step-mother Val DeBoer.
Donald served in the U.S. Navy.
Donald is survived by his two daughters, Lucinda (Andrew) Gibson of Hillsboro and Heather (John) Koehler of Hillsboro, one sister Annabell DeBoer, half-sister Alma Fister, step-sister Ethel Hunter, half-brother Quintin DeBoer, step-brother Dagbert Young, five grandchildren; Drew (Brooke) Gibson, Jessica Gibson, Heidi Koehler, Mary Koehler and Sharol Koehler and one great grandchild, Kya Gibson.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 P.M. on Friday March 13, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fincastle Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
