Donald H. "George" Dodds, Jr., 76 years of Chillicothe, OH., passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
Donald was born October 21, 1944 at Rainsboro, OH., the son of the late Donald H. and Mary Kathleen (Taylor) Dodds, Sr. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Margaret Clyburn; brother, Gary Lee Dodds; brother-in-law, Gary Mustard.
Donald "George" was a 1962 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School, U.S. Army Veteran, member of the AMVETS Post 61, Hillsboro, F.O.E. Aerie 1161 Hillsboro and retired from American Electric Power.
On December 2, 1967 he was united in marriage to Martha E. (Quigley) Dodds whom survives. They were blessed with a daughter, Julie Marie (Benjamin) Rusnak of Chillicothe;
three grandsons, Reece, Jude and Zane Rusnak; sister, Mary "Bea" Mustard of Rainsboro; brothers, Charles "Butch" (Marian) Dodds of Rainsboro, Steve Dodds of Salinas, CA; brother-in-law, Joe Clyburn of Bainbridge; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the Convenience of the Family at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Gilboa Cemetery.
Family requests memorials to the Nationwide Children's Hospital, 700 Children's Drive, Columbus, OH 43205.
