Donald W. Edingfield, 76 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Thursday October 2, 2014 at the Bethesda North Hospital.
He was born in Highland County on May 23, 1938, the son of the late Leo and Velma Lewis Edingfield. Besides his parents he was also preceded by one sister Leota E. Quickle.
Donald retired, after working 35 years, from Bright Local School District, served three terms Jackson Township Trustee and was a member at Belfast United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Kirby Edingfield, whom he married on September 22, 1958, two sons and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Janice Edingfield of Winchester and Steve Edingfield of Hillsboro, one sister Helen Shoemaker of Hillsboro, four grandchildren, Chris Whittnie, Kent Miranda, Emily and Evan, and one great grandson Kaden.
Funeral Services will be 2:30 P.M. Sunday October 5, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at 12:30 P.M. until time of service on Sunday October 5, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home.
