**Obituary for Donald C. Wright**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald C. Wright, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on April 11, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on May 25, 1940, in Jackson County, Kentucky, the son of the late Henry and Gladys (Isaacs) Wright. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Derek Wright; step-mother, Tonie Wright.

Donald worked for 25 years as a Supervisor at General Electric, where he was known for his strong work ethic and leadership. He proudly served his country in the Army, a commitment that speaks to the values he upheld throughout his life. Donald was also a member of the Highland Lodge #38 F.&A.M. and the Valley of Cincinnati, Scottish Rite, which were important parts of his community involvement.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Paula (Funk) Wright, who were united in marriage on March 31, 1962; his daughter, Donella (Brian) Hildebrant; daughter-in-law, Angie Wright; his cherished grandchildren: Katie (Ryan) Pollard, Mark (Rachel) Wright, Austin (Tiffany) Hildebrant, Blake (Megan) Hildebrant and great grandchildren, Zane Wright, Lucas Pollard, Harper Wright, Max Pollard, Jace Hildebrant and Leah Hildebrant; his sister, Judy Lainhart; brothers, Jerrold (Nancy) Wright and Freddy Wright. Donald's warm spirit and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro on April 17, 2025, where public viewing will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Masonic Service will be conducted by the Highland Lodge #38 F.&A.M., followed by Scottish Rite Services at 1:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home. Pastor Greg Roberts will officiate funeral service immediatley after Masonic Services. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard at Sugartree Ridge Cemetery following funeral services.
