Dora N. Douglas, 75 years of Washington Court House, passed away on Saturday November 19, 2022.
She was born in London Kentucky on August 29, 1947, the daughter of the late Charles and Elsie (Mills) Witt. Besides her parents, she is preceded by her husband Chester, and brother Charles Denny Witt.
Dora worked for Hillsboro High School for over 20 years. She was dedicated to her students and her profession. She loved her granddaughters, sons, step-daughters, and family. Dora was a woman of strong Christian faith. She enjoyed reading and her soap operas.
Dora is survived by her sons Chester (Maranda) Douglas II of Washington Court House and William Baker of Hillsboro; step-daughters Debbie Crabtree of Jamestown and Lisa Douglas of Jamestown; granddaughters Gillian, Gabrielle, and Genesis Douglas and Jessica Hutton.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday November 28, 2022 at the Thompson Funeral Home at 241 E. Main Street, Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery 11474 Butler Road Hillsboro.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of services on Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
