Dora Esther Evans, 93 years of Peebles, died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at her residence.
She was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on May 30, 1910 the daughter of the late Calvin and Nora Dryden Armstrong.
She was a member of the Scrub Bridge Church.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Evans, who passed away in 1959, son, James Evans, and sister, Ada King.
She is survived by three daughters, Marjorie McCane of Peebles, Alene Schwerk of Fairborn, Millie Ritchie of Peebles, thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2004 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Volley Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 1:00 till 3:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
