Dora F. Warnock, 66 years of Hillsboro, died Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the University Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Dora was born February 28, 1940 in Highland County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Alma Conley Newman. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter Alma Sue Warnock, four brothers, Paul Bud, Russell Dick, Joe and William Newman, three sisters, Jan Newman, Lillie Shrout and Beatrice Bryant.
Dora drove a school bus for the past 31 years for the Hillsboro City School System. She attended the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church, member of the New Market Alumni Association, and drove a bus for Camp Dove Tail.
On September 16, 1960 she was united in marriage to Darrell Bud Warnock who survives. She is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Vickie Warnock II, Steve and Teresa Warnock, Andrew and Christy Warnock all of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren, Josh, Tyler, Hannah, Cody, Cory, Savannah and Spencer Warnock;
three brothers, Estill Newman of Dayton, Leroy Newman of Dayton and Robert Newman of Missouri; four sisters, Pearlie Newsome of High Hat, KY, Shirley Rhoads of Leesburg, Mary Thompson of Hillsboro and Hester Pennington of Hillsboro. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church. The Rev. Wiley Perkins and Lonnie Cole will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church.
