Doris C. West, 77 years of Cincinnati, died Monday, July 30, 2001 at the Hospice of Cincinnati.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 14, 1924 the daughter of the late John and Nelle Blackburn Collins.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson Hills, where she was the secretary for eight years. She was a W.W.II Army veteran, serving in the WACS.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one sister and one grandchild, Joshua.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Linda Manning of Hillsboro, daughter, Shirley Manning and boyfriend, Jason Brozek of Cincinnati, daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Albert, Jr. Schaefer of North College Hill, sister, Elsie Levin of Diamond Bar, California, and four grandchildren, Meghan Miller, Jeffrey Wood, Jeremy Manning, and Sean Manning.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Anderson Hills, 1674 Eight Mile Road, Cincinnati, OH with Larry Stewart officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Cincinnati, 4310 Cooper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
