Dorothy Arey, 89 years of Peebles, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Mercy Hospital Anderson.
She was born in Bluecreek, Ohio on August 26, 1920 the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith Young Armstrong.
Dorothy attended the Peebles Church of Christ, was a member of the Adams County Retired Teachers, Senior Citizens Club, Magazine Club, and the Night Bloomers Garden Club.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wendell Arey, who passed away on March 26, 1993.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Russell and Dana Arey of Cincinnati, one daughter and son-in-law; Jeannette and Edward O'Bryant of Piketon, two grandchildren; Annette Long and Paul O'Bryant, and one great grandchild; Paige O'Bryant.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Bill Christman and David Wayne officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
