Dorothy Jean Carter, 70 years of Peebles, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
Dorothy was born February 20, 1952, in Cincinnati, OH., the daughter of the late Denver Gibson and Marie (York) Gibson of McKee, KY. Beside her father, Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy, Preacher, Donnie and two sisters, Thelma and Mary.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bobby L. Carter; one daughter, Shannon (Kevin Stultz) Carter of Hillsboro; three sons, Bobby Carter of Florida, Tony (Christine) Carter, Daryl (Tab) Carter of Louden, OH.; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; mother, Marie Gibson of McKee, KY.; one sister, Sandy Amyx; six brothers, Johnny, Ponch, Bill, Denny, Ronnie, and Delbert Gibson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
According to the Dorothy's wishes, cremation will be observed. A Celebration of Life will be held later.
