Dorothy Fern Custer

Dorothy Fern Custer, 92 years of Hillsboro, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born in Huntington, Indiana on June 24, 1910 the daughter of the late Walter Joseph and Jessie Loraine Berry Land.
She was a member of the New Market Baptist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, reading, and gardening.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, George H. Taylor, who passed away in 1938, her second husband, Galen C. Custer, who passed away on March 2, 1984, one brother, Floyd Land, and three sisters, Flora Norris, Mabel Land, and Martha Keith.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Nancy Taylor of Columbus, Indiana, step daughter, Carole Ann Jerry Tingle of London, Ohio, four grandchildren, Richard Taylor, Cheryl Tingle, William Mourene Taylor, and Jeffery Christina Tingle and one great grandson Cody.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Market Baptist Church with Rev. John Little officiating.
Memorials may be made to the New Market Baptist Church, 5019 E. New Market Road, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
The Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home of Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
