Dorothy Wenona Heaton

Dorothy Wenona Heaton, 88 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Clay Township in Highland County on April 4, 1923 the daughter of the late Ray and Elizabeth Jane Mangus Cornetet. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Wanda Heaton; Grandson, Andrew Heaton; one brother, James Cornetet and one sister, Lucille Heaton.
She was a member of the Hillsboro 1st Presbyterian Church where she taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School.
She is survived by her husband Howard Heaton whom she married on June 21, 1947, two sons, David Heaton of Hillsboro, Terry Katherine Heaton of Conowingo, Md.; one daughter, Nancy Heaton of Hillsboro; one brother, Bill Cornetet of Georgetown; two sisters, Anna Bohl Of Williamsburg, Carol Jean Acree of Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Michael J. Heaton, Scott M. Heaton, Matthew M. Heaton, Toni Douglas Metcalf; two great grandson, Seth and Zachary Metcalf.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery at Arnheim in Brown County.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 5:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
