Dorothy West Hoop, 95 years of Peebles, died Friday, June 14, 2002 at the Adams County Hospital in West Union.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on February 17, 1907 the daughter of the late Thornton and Ivy Eagle West.
She was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hoop, who passed away on September 19, 1969, one brother, John West and one sister, Mary Shell.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Betty Hoop, Jr. of Ocala, Florida, Richard and Garnet Hoop of Peebles, Robert and Betty Hoop of Peebles, daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Lee Eubanks of Ripley, Linda and Joe Fisher of West Union, step son, Vaughn Hoop of Xenia, sister, Ruth Blanton of West Union, twenty grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren, twenty-five step great grandchildren, and eleven step great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union with Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 till 6:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
