Dorothy M. Johnson, 71 years of Peebles, died Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Peebles.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 10, 1931 the daughter of the late Jacob and Augusta Smith Stanley.
She was a seamstress at the Manchester Pants Factory.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Johnson, who passed away on October 23, 1974, brother, Bill Stanley, and two sisters, Hazel Tadlock, and Betty Royce.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Kay Johnson, Jr. of Peebles, Roy and Loretta Johnson of Sabina, William and Pam Johnson of Peebles, three daughters and sons-in-law, JoEllen and Tom Thompson of West Union, Doreen and Jeff Newman of Peebles, Joanne Johnson of Peebles, three sisters, Mary Mitchell of Peebles, Helen Besinger of Hillsboro, Ruth Johnson of Peebles, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the Locust Grove Wesleyan Tabernacle Church with Rev. Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 till 2:00 P.M. at the Locust Grove Wesleyan Tabernacle Church.
